Hi fellow spicers,
We have a mixture of APC SMART UPS that have been in storage for about 1-2 years.
Disconnected the isolator plug on the back before they were packed away.
We have just got out 3 of them, all APC 1500 SMART UPS and they are all showing "Warning State: Connect Battery".
One of these units sorted themselves out after leaving it overnight. The other two are still beeping and showing the message.
We put a volt meter on the batterys and they are holding charge. Also checked the internal battery connector for any corrosion or loose connections.
Another thing which is strange is that as soon as you pull the plug from it, the UPS stays running which would show that the battery's are working.
Installed date for the battery's are 2011 but they have only had about 6 weeks use before being left plugged in and eventually packed away.
Anybody got any ideas on whats going on with them and how to fix them?
We have a few of the bigger APC units which might have the same problem.
