We have an Emerson Liebert GXT2-10000RT208 UPS unit with an external cabinet. A couple weeks ago, I was getting messages that the batteries need replaced. The unit is about six years old so I figured it was about time and ordered the replacement battery packs; with the external cab, the UPS takes 4 battery packs.
The battery packs arrive, I pull the old ones, pop in the new ones, consider it done and go back along my merry way. A bit later I web into the unit and it still has the alarm stating to replace the batteries. I give it a full 24hrs and the alarm is still there. I go back to the UPS, look it over, check the connections check the circuit breakers on the unit, all looks good. So I pull the new batteries and put them back in again in different slots, hit the "power on" button and the alarm clears.
