Hi all, we're in the process of re-assessing our UPS needs as one of our units needs replaced and there have been a number of changes over the years to the equipment in our server room. I'm in the process of trying to add up how many watts all of our equipment operates at to properly size out a UPS replacement. I think I'm doing this wrong because my numbers seem to be far too high.
What is the best way of determining how many watts a specific server or networking equipment uses? I assumed the best way would be to go by the Volts/Amp range printed on the PSU then multiplying the higher numbers, but this is leading to wildly higher numbers than some of the equipment spec sheets state is their wattage use. For example; a Nimble CS1K shows it uses 600Watts according to its spec sheet, (and I confirmed this with Nimble support). However, on...
