I'm wiring my house with CAT6 and building a small network rack in one small closet in my house.
I was planning to use a PDU (Tripp-Lite DRS-1215) for power distribution in the rack. I already have this PDU which I bought on Amazon a week ago.
The rack will basically have router, switches, raspberry pi, and possibly an NVR in the future.
I was also considering adding an UPS to keep the network equipment running in the event of a small power outage and -hopefully- be able to gracefully shut some equipment down.

The PDU I bought has "surge protection" and I just read it is a bad idea to daisy-chain an UPS with a surge protector.
Should I just return the PDU I bought and let the UPS handle the surges? The only reason I bought the PDU with...
