all the information I found on Eaton's website, Google search and Spiceworks are outdated to the current version.
I now have 9px-6000 supporting 3 ESXihosts and would like to gracefully shutdown the VM before shutting down the hosts.
The new way of setting up the rules is to go to:
- ConfigurationPolicies and Create a new policy like this (Note:I have attached all 3 of my hosts to this policy)
- Then, go to Action/Events under Settings, and create an Action based on the policy created in the previous step.
As of how I set in the above pic, there are few options of what to do. Ideally, I want to gracefully shutdown the VM before shutting down the host. but it only gives me the option to do Maintainance Mode -- Shutdown.
How can this gracefully shutdown anything? I assume this means all VMs will be eventually migrated/vMotioned to a single...
