We are currently rewiring our middle school (yay) and as part of the project we've decided to replace the current UPS setup we have in our central network room. Currently there are two Tripp Lite devices which work just fine but we only get a few minutes from them with the devices plugged in.
The devices I calculated based on stats at around 2500W maximum load (firewall, switch, a few mac mini servers etc). Would people recommend splitting onto two UPS as we have now or get a single UPS system (assuming they exist with enough sockets of course which would be around 12) ?
My other thought is that ideally we would love say 30 mins of run time which gives us time to shut things down if it is a true outage....is that realistic (or at least realistic on a budget) as most UPS systems I have specced out give me maybe 5mins run time if I am...
