So there was a power outage here last night. for about 110,000 people.
2 things here
1. Isn't it fun that every time there is a power outage for more than a few minutes half the ups fail and start the god awful beeping even after the power comes back on.
2. We only have 8-10 minutes of backup power for servers. I have addressed the big dogs about this MANY times and they are not concerned. Now exchange and some other things didn't come up correctly and the world has ended. This is IT's fault and we should get 20 lashes. I made it worse by mentioning if we had a better backup power system like we talked about this wouldn't of happened.
So how does their unwillingness to prevent an issue become IT not working effectively? BTW they still see "no need" for a better power backup system. Oh and we are in Florida, ya know lightening capitol of the world, hurricanes, and all that.
