I managed to get a bargain on an older APC UPS 1000 which is ideal for what I want. Only problem is the unit states its discharged when it isn't (I don't think). There's a fix http://www.joeteck.com/apc-repair.htm but I only have the USB connection available. And although I could buy the serial cable I haven't any PC's with Serials. Any Ideas? IE how to hyperterminal on a USB guide would be nice etc
