Our company recently had to replace a defective APC unit (with a battery pack) andsince it's my first time replacing a huge UPS unit like this, I would like to ask few tips on how to replace or handle this situation.
It's a 3u sized UPS (3u battery pack on top of it, so total 6u) and it is obvious, by looking at the size of this unit, that it will be pretty tough for me to handle everything by myself. (I could ask for some help from the other department so lifting and placing it onto the server rack wouldn't be a problem.)
What I really want to know is to see if there is anything that I should be aware of before starting this job. (or anything while I'm on it as well)
I am the only IT guy in our company and I barely started working in this field after getting few entry certifications. So any obvious things that you would think...
