Hi Spiceheads! \m/
We have over 200+ desktops in our office and I was wondering if there is a program or script that would automatically shutdown all of them when a power outage occurs. We have very stubborn end users who doesn't shutdown their PC when there is a power shortage(I think they love the sound of their UPS beeping repeatedly when switching to battery backup. It's freakin' annoying especially when you have more than 200 them beeping at the same time. -.-)
We are usingAPC BE500R-PH(Doesn't have automatic shutdown function)for the desktops but the UPS for our servers support automatic shutdown function. I plan on using a script that will shutdown the desktops remotely when the servers shutdown but I don't know how to do it yet. Other than buying UPS' that have the automatic shutdown function, do you guys have any suggestions?
