There's nothing quite like a spring thunderstorm to test your UPS system... it's a quick test of readiness. Today, only the users' workstations went down, which prompted management to request a quote on a dozen or so additional UPSes. So what are the community members using for local workstation (tower, 2 LCD monitors, VOIP phone, maybe a small switch) battery backup? We don't need network monitoring like for servers, we're really looking at bang for the buck.
