Finally got the first UPS racked in my new (to us) server room. Ugly old APC Netshelter from the previous owners, but a shiny new Eaton 5PX 3000 with their new Gigabit monitoring card!
Keeping the racks was one thing, I had another server room built into the South wing so splitting the two racks was expedient. The mangy old APC UPS's had to go, though!
I'll be interested to see how this new card will plug into my monitoring infrastructure. if it works as I expect the main office will need upgraded.
The irony of modern networks is that the only open copper port I had to plug it into was a 10GBase-T on the top of rack switch. SMF from across the street, twinax to the distro switches, oh look here's an open port! Need a little local management switch soonish.
