I have a APC UPS Model: BR1500-LM connected to a Server 2012 R2 Box.
Sometime ago, I would have reached out to the Spiceworks community to figure out how to configure "Native Shutdown" as defined by APC. This does not use the APC Powerchute software which is not supported by this model UPS. This can be explained further via this link to my Spiceworks discussion:

This solution worked well until I noticed a few days ago, that on the taskbar where there is usually the battery indicator (very similar to the normal Windows battery indicator on the taskbar that tells you if the battery is charging or filled etc ) is missing.
