Hi Everyone, thanks for taking a minute to read this post.
I have been a long time (25+ years) APC customer for desktop UPS needs, but I am decidedly against the recent changes to APC's (desktop) lineup. The cost control measures, the relative reduced capacity and the increased "gimmick" factor of their designs (USB charging ports, etc...) were a sure sign of trouble to come (heck, just in weight alone I knew these new units were not cut from the same block as the older ones), and now I am seeing the failures and premature EOL of recently purchased units.
Running a manufacturing operation in the middle of corn fields, with power coming from two locations, I look at every squirrel as the enemy. Supporting over a hundred desktop systems as well as dozens of production machines, I have tried pretty much all the UPS vendors out there...
