I have to replace 10 12v 18ah batteries from an APC UPS system and the local batteries plus wants $50 each for them and the batteries we have purchased at batteries plus(worker brand) average about 20-26 months of life before they need to be replaced. Which is not long enough in my opinion. So I looked around for batteries with longer warranties. I found some online stores that sell the EV(electric vehicle) version of 12180 batteries and they come with a 2 year warranty instead of 1 year. So my obvious line of thought now is, "can I use these EV batteries in my UPS systems and will they last longer than non EV batteries?
If anyone has other useful suggestions I would love to hear them.
