Last night I started to get emails about an issue with one of our UPS's. Checking the UPS status shows this;
01/02/201921:16:54UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.
01/02/201921:16:54UPS: A DC bus overvoltage exists.
The Tups is slowly increasing and the Vbat is slowing decreasing. The batteries are 5 years old and due for replacement, but I am unsure if this is a fault with the UPS or a faulty battery (or batteries).
I am reluctant to replace the batteries if the unit is faulty. We currently do not have support for our UPS.
The UPS is an APC Smart-UPS X-3000.
Anyone experienced this before? My plan is to power down everything connected to it, and then power it back on with everything disconnected and then see how it stands.
Thanks.
