Looking for options and opinions for a new UPS. This is not a small desktop unit but a unit sized to run 100% of the technology in our building.
Our current unit is a MGE Comet 65kva. When the unit was installed, CRT monitors were king but now with all of the flat-panel monitors, our power needs are a lot less. We had a somewhat local vendor come in and evaluate our load and give us a quote but after the UPS failed over the weekend and dropped our data center and operations, we are re-thinking our options. Fortunately, we were able to get the UPS repaired and back online but we know the unit is approaching EoL and we want to replace it.
Based on the site survey and our requirements, we need:
A 30kva unit with the the option to add capacity if needed.
