Hi all, I need your help. Long story short I have to shop around for a UPS and I have to humbly admit I have minimal knowledge on this particular subject. I've been given a ridiculous budget to buy a unit that would cover to the very least a Cisco Catalyst 6509-E (6Kw PSU) and 6 HP Proliant DL380 G7 (~890W each). If I only include these two, the Tripplite calculator will give choices rated at about 16Kw for a 2 minutes runtime but as soon as I add, say a Dell Powervault 1000MD, I get options rated well below the 16Kw threshold.
As far as I can understand I can't consider anything below a 12Kw output rating. Add to that the fact that the 6509-E PSU has to have at least one 220V +input,whydoesthe Tripplite calculator show me units rated as low as 500w as compatible with my setup? Wouldn't anything below my ~11500w load cause a huge...
