What is your or your organization's philosophy when it comes to UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and your servers? Do you have a UPS in every single rack, or even two as a failover? Do you ditch putting the UPS in the rack and have a separate monster powering all of your racks? Do you have enough battery juice to last a measly 1 minute, or do you have the power to run for hours without breaking a sweat? Do you buy UPS after UPS box and never buy expansion batteries, or are you the daisy chain battery king?
Or....do you just simply pray to the IT gods every time the building power shuts down?
