I work for an ITAD company, and as such occasionally come across some useful stuff in our warehouses. I have set up a couple Poweredge R430 and R530 systems to test ina sort of lab environment. I set them up on Xenserver 6.5 and connected an old Equallogic PS4000 for storage. I know the Xenserver is outdated, but it is what our production servers are running on. That is how it was set up when I arrived here. The idea is to grow familiar with it and then test our backups, eventually making it "live" for redundancy. Obviously there isn't much point to this unless it will stay on during a power failure.
