I have an Eaton 9130 which, when power is removed, shuts off the outlets immediately without warning and without error messages. The unit's Ethernet adapter keeps flashing and the fan keeps running for a bit, then it cuts off too. The battery shows it's got a charge, though when you attempt to test it, it says "Battery test can not be run now, try again later"
The confusing part is lack of error messages. I would expect that if the batteries were weak, there would be some indicator of it. I see that these units generally don't even power up if the battery is under voltage.
Assuming the world says "needs batteries" (which is quite expensive) - can the unit be tested by applying a high amperage battery source externally (read: a couple car batteries in series to supply the full 24 volts). These are lead acid, as are auto batteries.
