We have an IBM As/400 in shop and Ive been doing a lot of research on how we can get it to gracefully shutdown if there is a power outage.
Right now we have it running off of 2 UPS with about an hour battery run time on each (so it says). I know the powerchute software from APC is not compatible with the AS/400 but they did state you could use a serial cable (AP98275) and connect it from the UPS to the AS/400.
APC also said some configuring would need to be done on the AS/400 end but they could not assist with that.
Does anyone know any details on how this is setup or what needs to be done to setup graceful shutdown for an BM AS/400?
