I have two SU3000RTXR3U UPS' that are supporting my rack. The batteries are still running but they have reached their suggested end of life. With all the upgrades and changes I've done to the system since starting here 5 years ago, I'm now running with 23 minutes and 17 minutes runtime on them. I was thinking of simply replacing the batteries and keep trudging on, but I also wanted to increase my remaining runtime on the battery.
Would it make more sense to 1) upgrade the devices altogether, or 2) replace the aging batteries and an external battery?
I'm leaning towards cutting down to one UPS, replacing the battery and adding an external battery pack for the extra runtime.
