I'm only slightly familiar with UPS, but I've run into a piece I'm not understanding. I'm not an electrical kind of guy, I generally pass off wiring and such to people who know what they're doing. Paranoia of being shocked I guess, but anyway...
I have a computer at home that has this:

Basically an 850w PSU.
I was looking for a UPS that could accommodate a couple minutes of runtime, just long enough to auto-shutdown the computer. I came across some reviews and subsequent information that Stepped Sine Wave UPS wouldn't be compatible. I'm struggling to find Pure Sine Wave UPS that don't need an arm and leg to purchase.
APC got back to me with a $309 one, http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/products/APC-Smart-UPS-C-1000VA-LCD-120V/P-SMC1000
I'm not familiar with Eaton, and their site doesn't...
