I'm testing my shutdown script I have in place for my ESXi environment.
In my setup I'm using an SNMPWEBCARD installed in an SU6000RT4U UPS.
The webcard is setup to send a trap to a VMa running PowerAlert for Linux.
My ESXi environment is made up of both 4.1u3 and 5.1 hosts. Each version has its own matching instance of vCenter.
So far it appears that the trap is being sent and PowerAlert is able to fire of my script.
The key is getting the script to execute when I'd prefer it to. That part doesn't seem clear.
Docs say to edit three lines in paconfig.ini.
I have each edited to enable script execution, set an execution delay, and path to the script itself.
My question is about the two delay values. One for shutdown, and one for script execution. Documentation seems to imply that all I have to set is the delay for shutdown. I've observed the...
