We purchased a Powershield Centurion RT2000 which we received yesterday.
Plugged it in and it had an over-temperature alert, so I shut it down and let it acclimatise in the server room overnight. It gets warm here in Perth WA so maybe it was hot from travelling with the courier.
This morning I power it up and the alert is still there. So I lodge an RMA at http://powershield.com.au/rma-application/as instructed by the seller. Powershield get back to me saying I have to return it to them AT OUR EXPENSE. In Australia, the ACCC says "You are responsible for returning the product, unless the cost of doing so is significant. In this case, the business must organise and pay for the return or exchange." A 30kg UPS costs $50 to go to the other side of Perth. I call 3% of purchase price a significant cost.
Anyway, that's my rant for the day. Just...
