We have a couple pieces of equipment here that have those "special" power supplies that really do not want to see much of a voltage drop. A label printer that I have to re-flash the firmware every 3-4 months, and a telephone system that needs reprogramming all to often. They are both on UPS units, and we still have headaches with them because of the power supplies they use.
Talking to the company that handles the old phone system, they said that none of the UPS units they tested cut the power off before the voltage output drops too low for the power supplies in these units. I know it's going to effect the rated run time, but I really don't care at this point. The phone system going down is especially painful.
Any recommendations out there?
