Adding custom binaries to Tripp-Lite PowerAlert firmware?

I have a couple of Eaton Tripp-Lite SU1000RTXLCD2U UPS systems, running PowerAlert PADM 20.2.1.942 on WEBCARDLXE.

I'd love to run a custom service (a wireguard+NAT traversal program) on them directly.

I noticed they're just Linux devices:

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Ubuntu 18.04 Linux 4.4.31 flash: 3.34G ram: 506844kB processor: armv7l software: PowerAlert 20.2.1 (Build 942)

That's more than sufficient.

I thought about building a custom firmware with the binary added, but I notice they're all GPG signed.

Is there any way to put the WEBCARDLXE into a developer mode that doesn't check GPG signatures? I'm happy to void my warranties.Thanks!
