APC Smart-UPS RT 8000 Battery Error Code

Hello all, 

I have a Smart-UPS RT 8000 RM XL in my office. It is currently in bypass mode with a battery error code 00001 (battery lights going from top to bottom on the front panel).

How am I able to get rid of the error code and get the UPS to switch back to normal mode instead of bypass mode?
