Hello. I have a site that's going through a complete remodeling. Since it's so extensive we are going to contract new wiring to be run through the building and with that I'm strongly considering separating our single 4 post rack into a 2 post and 4 post rack simply because it will make access to patch panels and equipment far easier for the inevitable move, add, change, deletes (MACD). We are also expanding the server room size to about double the space which makes this more feasible. Wiring between the racks will be no big deal as I already have a ToR switch in the back for the servers wired via fiber to the front of the rack with the access switch stack. So I can just run a longer fiber run over to the 2-post rack.
Regardless, the point of my question is around powering both racks if I do this. What our current power system looks like...
