Hello all. It has been some time since I have posted here. Can anyone answer some questions on the new "Smart Connect" on APC SmartUPS? I am doing an installation with VMware ESXi 7 and a SmartUPS for power protection. Normally we install a NIC in the UPS and managed it from an APC appliance VM. Can the "Smart Connect" port be used like the normal network management cards?
My plan is to just bypass this and install a NIC like I always do; however, if this network port can be used with PCNS or the APC appliance, I can save the cost of the separate network card.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
