I have saved some battery units from going to recycling and have an old APC UPS C1500 unit but I'm finding the charge rate for the packs is pants and am looking to replace the unit with something that can charge the batteries in a bit quicker as it seems to only draw about 200watts to charge them.
The batteries I have are HRL 1234W F2FR 12v units that are setup in serials to provide 24v to the unit. These are then parallel connected to the unit.
So 8 Batteries in each case. Paired up into 4 blocks(24v) then parallel connected to the APC unit.
I have 4 blocks of 8 batteries in the cases and they can easily provide the power I need, but charging in 5hrs or less is seemingly impossible.
My options seem to find a better UPS that can charge them more quickly(which isn't easy info to find)
Or buy a 24v battery charger for cars and hook that up to...
