There are plenty of ways to monitor and manage UPSes. USB connection to a PC, network management card, centralized monitoring from vendor software or using an NMS/RMM, Raspberry Pi & Network UPS Tools (NUT), etc.
Like a lot of other devices, cloud monitored and managed UPSes are becoming more common too. There are some interesting tradeoffs from an operations, security, and management perspective when it comes to cloud monitoring and I'm interested to hear what Spiceheads think about it.
So, would you use a cloud-connected UPS on your network? Why or why not?
