Power outages got house down to 42F at times, even withrefrigerator doors SHUT for durations of 1-10hrs, some items spoiled and no one offering reimbursement and grocery shelves got BARE.
Most answers past insist on dodging the UPS direction typing (duh) GENERATOR (of no help), most out of ignorance and those "in the know" with NOT enough "know" to select a proper UPS. Please don't waste our time and fill up space so that real UPS possibilities might be easier to glean.
Further, putting a small, dedicated generator in the works gets complicated with a switch from line power to generated. Of course a whole/partial house exterior generator is both a simple solution but also obvious and not helpful as a response to this query.
