Hey all, i have a fairly smallish server room with 5 racks inside of it. I am looking for battery backups to power the racks. Most everything there now is desktop models slapped together. Each rack has its own 20amp dedicated circuit run to it. I believe i can put whatever wall plugs I want on the circuits.
I am not sure if it would be better to have one large UPS with power distribution or something at the bottom of each rack but open for ideas and alternatives if it makes more sense. Also, can a rack mounted power bar/strip be used safely with battery backups for distribution/ more plugs available as long as I don't overload the UPS or is it "channel" dependent (im thinking generator and this may not apply)
