UPS and Amps confusion

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand UPS and how the power system works for them.

What I want to understand is that, the UK voltage is 230v and maximum amps on a plug socket is 13a.

13 * 230 = 2990W

I'm looking to buy this UPS but on the image it says INPUT:220-240VAC;50/60Hz;15a

https://www.apc.com/shop/uk/en/products/APC-Smart-UPS-3000VA-LCD-230V-with-SmartConnect/P-SMT3000IC

Does this mean it can't be plugged into a 13a wall socket as it requires 15a? Will it require another power socket i.e. commando fitting at a higher rating?

I've looked on this calculator too and when 2700w / 240v = 11.25amps

https://www.inchcalculator.com/watts-to-amps-calculator/

Am I missing something? This is my first foray into UPS and electricity so bear with me :)

Any help appreciated!
